This to inform the general public and all visitors to Murchison Falls National Park that River Nile burst its banks and submerged the ferry landing points on both sides making it difficult for vehicles to cross.
There will be no boat trips to the bottom of the falls due to the high flow of water on River Nile which can destabilize the boats and cause serious problems.

On Friday the 5th of June, the Uganda Wildlife Authority released a statement that Murchison Falls National Park reopened. So we can finally visit our beloved animals again.

While business has been dead for the last 2 months, we at Nature Lodges have not been sitting still.
Needless to say that, for when doors open again, we have to make 100 % sure that all camps provide the safest possible environment for our guests and staff. This requires planning how to best manage the new reality.
For a start, we made sure we have been isolating ourselves from the outside. All our staff is staying in house since the outbreak. They have not left the camp and will continue to follow these strict guidelines.
As we are taking hygiene and cleanliness very seriously, we wrote new hotel regulations and strict SOP’s for all our departments… Specific steps we are taking include:
- Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. We will therefore provide hand sanitizers to all guests.
- Staff has been informed and instructed about the frequent cleaning and sanitizing of not only their hand but also high touch areas in rooms and public spaces. Increased frequency and particular attention to keys, door handles, switches… has been introduced.
- A deep cleaning and sanitizing before check in became standard
Social distancing has become a norm in the covid 19 world. When we become operational again, we will, therefore, space tables in the restaurant and eliminate any buffet type of service. We will keep our welcoming at the reception to a minimum and give you the opportunity to fill in registration forms in your room as to avoid crowding and sharing pens
