About the lodge
Eagle's Nest stands on a rock hilltop with Lake Mburo National Park spread out underneath. Zebra and giraffe graze within sight of the verandah, and the walk up to the tents is the only real effort involved.
This is the most affordable of our properties and the one that suits a stopover between the west and Kampala. It is also the one where the view does most of the work.
Two kinds of tent: self-contained Luxury Tents, and Classic Tents sharing a bathroom block. You can also pitch your own.

Classic Tent
Straightforward canvas tents with a bed and linen, sharing the bathroom block. The cheapest way to sleep anywhere in our collection, and the view from the hilltop is exactly the same as everyone else gets.

What accommodation is there?
Luxury Tents, which are self-contained with a panoramic verandah and in some units a bathroom open to the sky, and Classic Tents, which are simple canvas sharing a bathroom block.
What does a night cost?
On 2026 rates, bed and breakfast, per unit per night: a Classic Tent is $35 single or $55 twin, and a Luxury Tent is $80 single or $100 twin. These are the lowest rates in our collection.
Can I pitch my own tent?
Yes. Pitching your own tent is $15 per person including breakfast.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in from 13:00 and check out by 10:00.
What can I do from the camp?
Game drives among the zebra, giraffe and eland of Lake Mburo, boat trips on the lake, and walking safaris, which are permitted in this park unlike in most of Uganda.
Does Eagle's Nest qualify for the combination discount?
Not under the published scheme, which covers Kibale Forest Camp and Fort Murchison combined with Kidepo Savannah Lodge or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge. We still price a full route in one quote.
