About the lodge
Kibale Forest Camp sits at the edge of the forest, close to where the chimpanzee tracking groups set out. Red colobus and black-and-white colobus move through the canopy above the tents, and the forest noise starts well before you are ready for it.
The restaurant is a double-storey thatched building with a view over the trees and the papyrus wetland beyond. There are trails through the camp grounds themselves, which is the easiest introduction to the forest you will find.
Two levels of accommodation: self-contained Luxury Safari Tents, and Explorer's Tents sharing a bathroom block.
