About the lodge
The Bush Lodge stands on the bank of the Kazinga Channel, the stretch of water linking Lake George to Lake Edward that draws a steady traffic of elephant, buffalo and hippo to its edges. Open savannah runs away on the other side.
Three kinds of accommodation share the site, all built from natural materials and set into the vegetation rather than cleared out of it. Whichever you choose, there is only canvas or a screened window between you and the sounds outside.
The restaurant is open-sided and the food is cooked fresh. After dark, dinner moves to the campfire. Game drives head out to the Kasenyi Plains and boats run the channel in the afternoon.

Signature Banda
Cottages set into the landscape above the Kamera River or the channel, built from natural materials with handmade furniture. Large screened windows let the air and the noise in while the mosquitoes stay out. The outdoor shower is built for two. From the verandah you can watch antelope graze, and after dark the occasional elephant walks through.

Heritage Safari Tent
Canvas on a raised platform under a thatched roof, a little further from the main lodge. Each tent has its own outdoor bathroom with hot and cold water, and a sheltered verandah with a sofa and a low table for the middle of the day. The extra distance buys quiet, which is why self-drivers tend to ask for these.

Closest to the bush, sharing a bathroom block.
Explorer's Tent
Simple canvas tents on raised platforms with thatched roofs, quality linen and soft light, and a private terrace looking over the Kazinga Channel. These tents do not have their own bathroom. A clean amenities block with flush toilets and hot showers is a short walk away, and a member of staff will walk you there at night if you would rather not go alone.
